Adhering to the concept of high quality, high standard, and high requirement, the international consultation intends to seek the most innovative urban design concepts and schemes from all over the world. They strive to build this area into a new urban center and a new urban parlor of Pingshan District, as well as enhance the city level of Pingshan District in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The Yanzi Lake area is mainly enclosed by Longping Road, Dongzong Road, Lvyin Road, and Jinniu West Road, covering an area of approximately 5 square kilometers – which is also the urban design area.

Content

The international consultation regards the unique lake, mountain and green axis of the Yanzi Lake area as the mainline, combines with the requirements of the upper level planning for the future development of Pingshan, and takes development orientation, regional structure, functional layout, ecological environment, public space, urban landscape, important public facilities, development intensity, transportation system and underground space, etc. into systematic consideration. Based on the traditional urban design, it will interact with professional teams in water, transportation, and municipal administration to form a pragmatic and detailed blueprint with comprehensive technology and in-depth research.

Registration

  1. The project adopts the method of “invitation + publicity” to select 8 domestic and international famous outstanding urban design institutions to carry out international consultation on urban design.
  2. The project is open to the public without any qualification restrictions. Design consortium is also allowed in this activity.
  3. The organizer has the final right to interpret the rules of this international consultation, and the language of interpretation is subject to Chinese.

Rules

It will organize a qualification review group which consists of 7 well-known professional experts in planning and designing, architectural design and relevant majors from at home and abroad. The qualification review group will decide the results of this international consultation.

It will be undertaken in 2 stages: Stage 1 Design Institutions Collection and Stage 2 Scheme Design.

Submission and reply about written questions.

From mid-October to the end of November Institutions to submit deliverables.
Early and mid-December 2019 Scheme review meeting;

Announce the final results.

Prize

In order to attract the worldwide excellent institutions to participate in the activity, Pingshan District has prepared great reward as follows:

1st Prize: the consulting fee of 5 million yuan
2nd Prize: the consulting fee of 2.4 million yuan
3rd Prize: the consulting fee of 1.6 million yuan
4th to 8th: the consulting fee of 1.2 million yuan
